Blackduck 20/20: what’s next? To the editor: Late this spring, Blackduck 20/20 held a major community meeting with over 70 residents attending. The night was spent discussing the Blackduck community’s future. A bold vision for that future and a community agenda that could make it real were also presented. Both were developed only after listening to a dozen groups throughout the community, and reviewing the results of a community survey.

Step back to the past The other night, all the lights went out in town. No one could buy gas as the pumps didn’t work and if they had, the tills could not ring up the sales. No one could punch out as the time clocks wouldn’t work. It makes one realize just how much we depend on electricity.
