Step back to the past
The other night, all the lights went out in town. No one could buy gas as the pumps didn’t work and if they had, the tills could not ring up the sales. No one could punch out as the time clocks wouldn’t work. It makes one realize just how much we depend on electricity.

Minnesota’s capitol city has been picked as one of four in the nation to receive Ford Foundation grants aimed at planning ahead. A new software program will aid in developing a vision for St. Paul’s future. Similar grants have gone to Boston, Los Angeles and Astoria, OR. The stated goal is to insure that in looking ahead, vulnerable segments of the population are not overlooked.
